Comfort Counselor

The Morning After

Day 14

Yesterday marked my first chemo treatment, which went really well. I’ve heard that many people start getting sick the next day, and prepared by taking an anti-nausea pill before bed.

I’ve given myself permission to get as much rest as I feel I need, and got up this am at 11:00. No nausea… two exciting words!

Yesterday I began a new habit of taking communion daily, and today it became a family tradition as my husband and I held hands and turned to God.

We thanked him for his abundant blessings in our lives. We praised him for the fact that I was feeling well. And we expressed our heartfelt gratitude for the very one most amazing gift that any of us has ever received – the sacrifice of his son for us.

He is the great healer, the all-merciful loving creator that holds it all together. The wafer and juice I share with my husband remind us that he gave it all so that we could have it all. This time of communion will strengthen our bodies, minds, and souls as we walk down this road hand-in-hand.

Miracles are on the way…..

    • Hi Pearly,

It’s so good to hear from you…I appreciate your comments! Honestly I can’t even imagine going through life’s challenges without faith. Sometimes it’s the only thing we have to hold onto.

A very good friend of mine recommended that I take Holy Communion daily to aid in my healing, and I believe it is a tremendous gift. If you’d like to learn more, I suggest that you check out the book, Health and Wholeness Through the Holy Communion, by Joseph Prince. He is the senior pastor of New Creations Church in Singapore, and is known internationally. Please feel free to contact me directly if you’d like to discuss in more detail.

I wish you blessings, joy and peace in your life as well sweetheart!

      Love,
      Kathy
