Day 55
Fear can be a blinding, crippling source of pain and frustration in our lives. For some it’s a constant companion that becomes a filter that dictates life itself.
For others it’s an occasional unsettled feeling that may or may not influence our thoughts and our decisions.
Regardless of the extent of fear in your life, I want you to know that you can overcome it. I know because I’ve experienced freedom – and it’s really brought me peace during this time of uncertainty. A cancer diagnosis can be pretty scary stuff, but I have not had a moment of fear. I will not allow the enemy to steal my joy, filling my head with useless thoughts and dread over events that will most likely never happen.
I admit there was a time when I struggled with this. Many of us have strongholds in our lives, and mine revolved around finances. Right here, in the middle of living the “American Dream”, any unexpected expense could throw me into a frenzy. As a Christian I knew that I had no reason to worry, but sometimes it seemed impossible to convince my heart of the things I knew in my head.
It took awhile, but through prayer and understanding I was able to break free from fear. One of the amazing tools I used was a short YouTube video that I watched every single day. Check it out, and please share anything in your life that’s helped free you from fear.
Love this video Kathy! We both know just how true this is. Thanks for continuing to be so inspirational and facing your fear and kicking it in the A%%!!
Love you girl! Keep on keeping on. You will kick this thing!
Thanks Deb. It’s amazing how much more enjoyable life is when you’re not a slave to fear. Love you!!!
Kathy,
You are so right. Fear weakens us and takes away our opportunity to use the strength and love that God continuously sends to us. For me A Course In Miracles has given me the tools to recognize fear for what it is, and I’ve learned to recognize the signs that fear is at play. It’s also given me the tools to let go the fear and accept the love. You go, girl. You’ve got this.
Suzanne,
I’m so happy that God’s love has touched you in such incredible ways. You are a remarkable woman, one who has looked evil in the face and forbidden it in your life. You’re a great role model and I hope that we’ll have the chance to get closer as our days continue.
Thanks for your encouragement and support….it means so much to me!
